Bravinsan is a German/French composer, pianist and producer. Born in Germany to Sri-Lankan parents, raised in London,UK and now residing in Paris. He trained as a classical pianist at the Trinity College of Music in London. Exposed to various influences of music since a young age, Bravinsan co-created his electronic duo JAFFNA in 2016. Their first EP "Ripples" gained success with over 9 million listens. Collaborating on various projects allowed him to develop an interest in composition for Film/TV. His scores draw inspiration from electronic and classical elements with nuances of Indian music that he often describes as a "visceral instinct".
Bravinsan has his base in Paris where he works as a film composer/producer. Most recent works include documentaries for France Television and France Alzheimer, a short film by Antoine Delelis for France 2 Television and a score with THYLACINE for Olivier Peyon’s film “Arrête avec tes mensonges”. A film adaption of the famous novel by Philippe Besson. Notable other works are in production for release later in the year 2024 including a documentary titled "Diosa" with Canada/Vixens Productions, another on the life and work of French Sculptor and Painter "Olivier de Sagazan", and a Sound Design/Immersive experience project for a Medical Tech company (Zoī) in Paris. Upcoming releases in 2025 include additional music and work as session pianist for the Netflix TV series "Winter Palace", and co-composition with Thylacine on a crime/thriller TV show for Canal +.
Alongside film composition, Bravinsan continues producing/arranging electronic music for himself and other artists, and has been touring as a pianist with Thylacine. Performances include some renowned venues such as the Philharmonie de Paris, Seine Musicale, Salle Pleyel and L'Olympia.
